Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Bob the Blob handles information when you play the game on the web or in the Android app.
Privacy requests can be submitted with the form on this page. The form sends your request to Bob the Blob's private request inbox without publishing a personal email address.
Privacy Request Form
Use this form for account data deletion, access or correction requests, child privacy concerns, or other privacy questions. If your request is about cloud data, include the Google account email used in the game so the account can be identified.
Information We Collect
- Account information: If you sign in with Google, the game may receive your Google account identifier, display name, profile photo, and email address through Google/Firebase Authentication. Bob the Blob does not receive or store your Google password.
- Gameplay information: The game stores progress such as scores, levels, coins, dust, shards, upgrades, cosmetics, achievements, daily missions, settings, and run history.
- Social and challenge information: If you use leaderboards, friends, or challenges, the game may store a privacy-shortened display name, profile photo URL, best score, friend list, friend requests, challenge status, challenge results, live challenge score data, and timestamps.
- Notification preferences: If you enable notifications, the game stores notification settings such as enabled categories, quiet hours, and frequency. Local notification schedules may be stored on your device.
- Device, ad, and diagnostic information: Google services and ad SDKs used by the app may collect device identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred from network information, app activity, ad interactions, crash or diagnostic data, and similar technical information.
How We Use Information
- To sign you in and keep your cloud save, scores, friends, and challenges working.
- To show leaderboards, challenge results, achievements, rewards, and account-specific progress.
- To schedule gameplay reminders such as energy refill and daily mission notifications when notifications are enabled.
- To show rewarded ads and support ad measurement, fraud prevention, and ad delivery.
- To maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the game.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared in these limited ways:
- With other players: Your display name, profile photo, scores, and challenge results may be visible in leaderboards, friend lists, or challenge screens.
- With service providers: Bob the Blob uses Google Firebase services for authentication, cloud data storage, and database features. The Android app uses Google AdMob for ads. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
- For legal, safety, or security reasons: Information may be used or disclosed if required to comply with law, enforce policies, prevent fraud, or protect users and the service.
Third-Party Services
The game uses third-party services that may collect information independently, including:
- Google Firebase and Firebase Authentication: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google AdMob and Google advertising services: policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Google Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Data Storage, Security, and Retention
Some gameplay data is stored locally on your device or browser. Account, leaderboard, friend, challenge, and notification preference data may be stored in Google Firebase. We use reasonable technical safeguards, including Google/Firebase security features and encrypted network connections, to help protect information.
Local data remains until you reset the account in the app, clear browser/app storage, uninstall the app, or delete the data from your device. Cloud data is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide game features, maintain records, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.
Account and Data Deletion
You can reset local game progress from the Account screen in the app. To request deletion of cloud account data associated with your Google sign-in, submit the Privacy Request Form on this page and include enough information to identify the account. We will delete or anonymize associated account, leaderboard, friend, and challenge data where required, unless we need to retain limited information for legal, security, or anti-abuse purposes.
Children's Privacy
Bob the Blob is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information, submit the Privacy Request Form so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when the game, SDKs, or data practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
